March 16 – 20, 2011
A mid-winter retreat in sunny southern Arizona at Pocket Sanctuary at Kenyon Ranch

• Empty with nothing to lose
• In the unknown with nothing to fear
• Open to what is meant to happen
Facilitators are three Elders: Mary Louise Gould, Holotropic Breathwork Practitioner, Kathleen Ingram, Counselor/Coach, and Eve B. Lee, Shamanic Practitioner, who will guide the gathering in activities including meditation, Holotropic Breathwork, shamanic journeying, reflective round pen work with horses, inspired writing, walking the labyrinth and working with dreams.
To prepare for the retreat and to begin to answer the question: “Where do we go from here?” participants will read When the Heart Waits by Sue Monk Kidd.

Introduction to Shamanic Journeying

Introduction to Shamanic Journeying
December 12 & 13, 2009
This two-day weekend workshop offers an introduction to core shamanism and the ancient practice of shamanic journeying and gives participants tools to develop and advance their own shamanic journeying practice. Participants will learn ways to meet their own individual spirit helpers in nonordinary reality, and how to use the shamanic journey to restore spiritual power and health for themselves, others and the Earth. Facilitated by drumming, they will experience the shamanic state of consciousness, awaken dormant spiritual gifts, and discover how to enter an altered state of consciousness for shamanic divination and healing.
What is shamanism?
Shamanism is a path of knowledge and a process of seeing with the heart for the purpose of accessing spiritual guidance, healing, and information. Shamanism teaches that everything that exists is alive and has a spirit, and that we are spiritually interconnected with all of life and the earth itself. Through shamanic practice, we can reconnect ourselves with nature and its rhythms and seasons, and restore balance and harmony. It has no doctrine or belief system.
What is core shamanism?
Core shamanism is the universal or near-universal principles and practices of shamanism not bound to any specific cultural group or perspective, as originated, researched, and developed by Michael Harner, with whom Eve B. Lee has studied since 1993.

Awakening to Spirit Through the Way of the Horse
October 22, 2009 by EveBLee
May 28-30, 2010
Experience a deeper awareness of yourself, identify your personal roadblocks, and explore areas of bodily tension that inhibit your ability to reach your own true potential as you meet and engage with the Equine Magic Appaloosa herd. Allow your body, mind, and spirit to awaken and move to a new rhythm in our changing world amidst shifting reality.
Through a series of specially designed activities in a group setting, you will receive a boost in self esteem and confidence that comes from learning how to establish boundaries as you engage and direct a thousand pound creature using mental focus, creative visualization and clarity of intent.
Prior experience with horses is not necessary, and all activities with horses are on the ground in this workshop.
Participants will engage in these skills and activities:
- Uncovering messages behind emotions
- Being congruent vs. incongruent
- Identifying False Self and Authentic Self Voices
- Establishing and maintaining clear and consistent personal space
- Using the body as a sensing device to identify emotional and physical states

Walking the Shamanic Path

Walking the Shamanic Path
An Apprenticeship on Individual and Community Healing
Guided by Eve B. Lee*
This program is for those on a path of personal growth who wish to explore the ancient practice of shamanism as part of owning their own spiritual authority and to help others find solutions to personal and community problems.
Some participants will focus on their own healing, personal growth and spiritual evolution, while others will seek to add tools to their kit that will enhance their efforts to aid individuals and the larger community in restoring health, harmony and balance.
In this intensive, participants will learn basic and advanced shamanic skills in four group sessions, share journeys in monthly conference calls, and have four one hour individual sessions with Eve, in person or by phone. Each participant will have the opportunity to participate in their own Visionquest on sacred land in a safe and supported setting.
Each participant will receive shamanic healings and learn how to access healing, empowerment and spiritual guidance for themselves and others in the traditional shamanic way. Shamanism teaches that everything that exists is alive and has a spirit, that we are spiritually interconnected with all of life and with the earth itself. Through shamanic practice we reconnect with nature, its rhythms and seasons, and thus restore balance and harmony. Shamanic work is always performed for the highest good and for the benefit of all life. It is based upon direct experience and not a belief system. It is a practice of spiritual autonomy, giving back to all the right to “see” for oneself through the technique of shamanic journeying and the interaction with Helping Spirits as one seeks healing and information on behalf of oneself or others.
As outlined by Angeles Arrien in her classic book The Four Fold Way, the shamanic path may encompass the way of the warrior, the healer, the visionary, or the teacher. Which of these directions calls to you? Some on the shamanic path are called to all of these, while others to one or two. if Ghandi’s words speak to your soul: “You must be the change you want to see in the world,” join us for this year’s journey together.

She leads retreats, drumming circles, individual healing and divination sessions, and equine facilitated learning and healing. As a Reiki Master, she also includes this ancient hands-on-healing work in her practice.
